 It is important to take quantitative measurement and analysis on the testicle volume in the andrology clinic. It requires to measure the testicle volume, in order to know testicle growth of sterile male patients. The Orchidometer uses the universal method of testicle measuring comparison (also called 鈥渢esticle model comparison鈥) to measure the testicle volume (including scrotal skin). It can measure accurately and is convenient to use.
Measuring principle: the Orchidometer consists of twelve ellipse hard testicle-like objects (testicle measuring model) of different volumes which are orderly labeled 鈥1銆2銆3銆4銆5銆6銆8銆10銆12銆15銆20銆25鈥濓紝respectively representing corresponding volumes in milliliter.
Measuring method: pull out the target testicle, tighten the testicle skin, compare the testicle measuring models with the tested testicle one by one, so as to find out the testicle measuring model which is most approximately like the tested testicle in size. The labeled number is exactly the volume of the tested testicle. For example, after comparing, a patient鈥檚 testicle is most approximately like the testicle measuring model labeled 8, and his testicle volume is 8 milliliter.
Clinical diagnosis: the normal testicle volume scope of Chinese people is ranging from 15ml to 25ml. The volume less than 12ml is clinically diagnosed as 鈥渢esticle atrophy鈥.

The testicle volume of normal males differs a lot, and both testicles of an individual are also different. It needs to combine examinations in other aspects to get scientific conclusion on testicle growth condition and eugenesis.
